Better for your dog. Easier for you.

Personalised nutrition

Each bag is blended specifically for your dog’s age, breed, lifestyle and sensitivities – not a generic
life-stage category.

Scientifically formulated

Every recipe is validated against nutritional standards. GMO-free and gluten-free, with grain-free, chicken-free and maize-free options available.

Tailored to your dog

BuddyMeal is made for your buddy. Dog food is made for categories.

Pet food aisles are full of big promises and generic formulas. Puppy, adult, senior, small breed, large breed. Useful labels, but they treat every dog in each category the same.

Simple for you. Better for them.

Be a good buddy.

Why we built BuddyMeal.

Hi, I’m Benjamin, and this is Buddy.

When I brought Buddy home, I went looking for food that matched his profile: a Dutch Shepherd × Africanis cross, growing fast, with a sensitive gut. I found shelves full of categories, but nothing that actually fit her.

BuddyMeal is what we wished existed. A feeding system designed around the dog in front of you, not the category they happen to fall into. Built with veterinary nutritionists, made in South Africa, delivered monthly to your door.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. While I’m not thrilled with the first two ingredients being filler at least my VERY picky eater is actually eating. It was getting concerning how little he would eat at each sitting and now he finishes most meals. If your dog is anything like him this product will give you peace of mind that they are getting those calories in.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such a great experience with BuddyMeal! Everything was so easy from the beginning and Koda’s box was honestly so cute to open. I love that his food is personalised specifically for him and that they’ve made feeding him so simple with his own portions and plan. The little details, especially having his photo on his food bags, were such a nice touch. Really impressed with everything so far and Koda is very happy too!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Incredibly professional, very friendly. The product is absolutely fantastic. One of my dogs is a very fussy eater and now he sits waiting for his food. Love how easy the personalisation process is, the delivery is incredibly quick. Living on the other end of SA (Limpopo) receive parcels within a few days. Highly recommend. Excellent quality food at a fraction of the price.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Charlie, our 5 yo rescue Maltese and Max, our 13 yo Pug received their BuddyMeal discovery boxes yesterday, and their 1st try out was very successful.
We recommend the great customer service we received from Luella, and encourage doglovers to have a look at the website, and consider how much healthier and wonderfully personalised this kibble is for our furbabies to be happy and healthy.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our dog has always scoffed at dry food. This meant we had to cater to her difficult pallet with wet food - for a big dog it’s quite the expense.

With buddy meal - she almost bites our hand to get to it. It’s double the nutrients (most wet food is literally 70 % water and air) + we have not needed to take her for her monthly arthritis jabs - as the food contains collagen and all the essential items for her.

Isn’t she gorgeous ?
